St. George’s Church in Taisten stands out for its serene atmosphere and balanced design. With an almost square layout and semicircular apse, it combines Romanesque solidity with Gothic elegance. The lower walls date from the Romanesque period, while the ribbed vault above was added in 1498. The apse features a depiction of the Trinity in a rainbow mandorla – a rare and powerful symbol of faith.
