The oldest snowshoe discovered in South Tyrol is over 5,000 years old. It is evidence that our ancestors used this tool for working in the snowy winter landscape. Thanks to the broad shoes and the large footprint the walker doesn’t sink too deeply into the snow - that makes walking much easier and offers a special kind of fun in the snow.
