Fêtes have their origin in the consecration of the church or the Saint’s day of the patron of the church. The church of Anterivo is dedicated to St Jacob and St Katherine, Jakobi in German. Therefore, Anterivo celebrates the „Kirchtig za Jakobi“, the “church day of St. Jacob” on 25 July. After a Service there is music in the centre of the village, food, drink and dancing.
