At the weekends the Laives Christmas market is a meeting point for locals and visitors. On Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on Monday, 8 December local associations, craftsmen and hobbyists enliven the stalls at the Pfarrheim fairground, accompanied by concerts by local music groups. There will also be a living nativity scene near the parish church of Laives, an exhibition of handcrafted nativity scenes, and a trail through the city featuring big and small nativity scenes. Children can look forward to a visit from St. Nicholas on 5 December.
