Passeggiata Tappeiner

The Passeggiata Tappeiner, a popular walking path and pretty destination in Merano, starts at the Torre delle Polveri.

On the Piazza Terme the spa Terme Merano invites to relaxation and recreation with 25 pools indoors and outdoors, a sauna world, a 5 ha park, a spa and vitality area, a medical spa and fitness. The architecture is as exciting as the facilities.

Merano 2000

Merano 2000 is a stunning hiking and skiing paradise. From Meltina the Monzoccolo bus takes you into this oasis of nature.

Merano arcades

The arcades in the historic centre house many pretty small shops and boutiques. They are a lovely place for strolling around and shopping.

Torre delle Polveri

The powder store Torre delle Polveri is a worthwhile viewpoint in Merano: From here you have lovely views of the spa town.

Racecourse

Merano racecourse is one of the most beautiful equine sporting facilities in Europe. The first horse races for aristocratic spa guests took place here in 1896. The traditional Easter Monday Haflinger horse race and the Grand Prix of Merano on the last Sunday in September are the highlights of the season.

The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are one of the most popular destinations in South Tyrol. The botanical gardens also gain much international recognition: A few years ago the gardens were even awarded the designation “most beautiful gardens in the world”.
