Parish Church of Saint Martin

39030 Gsiesertal Valley – St. Martin
General description

The Parish Church of St. Martin in Gsiesertal Valley was first mentioned in 1425, though its origins likely date back much earlier. Rebuilt in Baroque style in 1778, it features frescoes by Johann Mitterwurzer depicting scenes from St. Martin’s life. Gothic elements, including tower windows and frescoes by Simon of Taisten, remain visible. Further artworks by Kluibenschedl, Dusi, and Nißl enrich the interior.
