The Alpine cattle drives are one of South Tyrol’s most cherished traditions. At the end of summer, the decorated animals return from the
mountain pastures and are welcomed with traditional celebrations, music, and local specialties.

The Food Festival in Neumarkt celebrates the culinary traditions of the Südtirls Süden region. Local specialties, fine wines, craft beers, tastings, live music, and entertainment make it a unique experience for all.

October

As autumn arrives, the historic alleyways of Margreid come alive around the Old Vine, creating a charming gathering place for food and wine lovers. Surrounding Europe’s oldest dated grapevine, visitors can enjoy regional specialties, local wines, and live music in a unique setting.

Romanesque Day invites visitors to discover South Tyrol‘s cultural heritage. Highlights include the St. Florian Hospice and St. Florian‘s Chapel. Free guided tours provide insights into Romanesque history, architecture, and art.

The Montan Culinary Mile transforms the former Val di Fiemme railway line into a scenic route for food lovers. Along the trail, visitors can enjoy local wines, regional specialties, live music, a farmers‘ market, and entertainment for the whole family.

Discover the flavours of autumn from late October to mid-November. Enjoy olive oil and wine tastings, seasonal specialties, and unique food and wine experiences. The season concludes with the traditional St. Martin‘s Fair in Kurtinig.

The event series opens with a concert by Alpinlounge. Guests at Ansitz Freienfeld will enjoy an autumn evening for all the senses: an exclusive tasting of five selected South Tyrolean wines, fine appetizers, and the atmospheric sounds of Alpinlounge combine to create a truly memorable experience.

A touch of music in the glass and a hint of harmony in the air await you at the historic Baron Longo Estate in Neumarkt/Egna. During a guided wine tasting, discover wines that combine tradition and innovation in a unique interplay of flavour, music, history, and the present. The evening concludes with a selection of delicious  bites.

When the aroma of roast goose fills the streets of Kurtinig, it‘s time for the traditional St. Martin‘s Fair. Look forward to a lively market, the popular goose race, and delicious goose specialties with a creative twist. A celebration of tradition, great food, and conviviality.
