Summer vibes under the historic arcades

South Tyrol’s oldest village festival brings new life to the historic arcades of Neumarkt – and that’s exactly where it gets its name. What’s usually a place for shopping and coffee turns into a lively three-day celebration full of music, flavour and good times every August.

Local clubs, Schuhplattler groups, bands and brass ensembles serve up plenty of entertainment and regional specialties right in the heart of the village.

The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with the ceremonial opening parade. Saturday features the big festival parade through Neumarkt, followed by the barrel tapping and live music on the main square, the church square and under the arcades. Sunday rounds things off with a morning gathering, the traditional balloon release – and a dedicated kids’ program on all three days.

In short: three days of good vibes, local culture and easy summer moments for the whole family.
