Days of Romanesque Art - Culture, history & open doors
Mid-October
Once a year, South Tyrol’s Romanesque heritage opens its doors: during the Days of Romanesque Art, you can explore more than 30 churches, monasteries and chapels along the Alpine Romanesque Road free of charge over one October weekend. From frescoes to round arches, from tranquil interiors to remarkable architecture – this is your chance to dive straight into the world of the Middle Ages.
Guided tours, fascinating insights and special locations make this cultural weekend a memorable experience for anyone who loves getting close to history.
Continuous guided tours are offered at the Hospice and the small church of St. Florian in Laag/Laghetti near Neumarkt/Egna. In the courtyard, local wine producers await you with tastings.
