Experience the Alto Adige Wine Road in autumn
03. September - 11. November 2026
When the rolling landscape between Nals and Salurn turns golden and the grape and apple harvest begins, autumn has arrived along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. The days are still pleasantly warm, perfect for enjoying a glass of local wine on a sunny terrace or exploring the autumn scenery on a bike ride or hike through the vineyards.
The South Tyrolean Wine Road winds its way through 15 villages where wine has shaped everyday life and the landscape for generations – with traditional wine estates, castles and historic residences surrounded by vineyards. Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, numerous grape varieties thrive here, including the indigenous Vernatsch and Lagrein varieties as well as Gewürztraminer, which has its roots in the region.
From 3 September to 11 November 2026, WineAutumn on the Alto Adige Wine Road invites you to experience this special season in all its variety. A wide range of events centred around wine, food and culture puts the region’s wines, their stories and the people behind them in the spotlight. From guided walks through colourful autumn vineyards and lively village festivals to atmospheric concerts and special culinary experiences, WeinHerbst offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy autumn along the South Tyrolean Wine Road with all your senses.
