Lantern Advent in Margreid/Magrè

The Margreid Lantern Advent invites you to enjoy the run-up to Christmas in an atmospheric setting. A mulled wine stall, an idyllic Christmas forest and lovingly crafted lanterns decorating the streets and houses lend Margreid a special Christmas sparkle.
As early as the first Sunday in Advent, the traditional Advent wreath sale and a small Christmas market featuring lovingly handmade products from local farmers’ wives set the mood for this contemplative time of year.
Another highlight is the Krampus parade on 5 December, accompanied by St Nicholas, who hands out presents to the children. Musical performances, Advent stories and culinary delights create a festive atmosphere for young and old alike.
On 23 December, the traditional charity mulled wine stall invites you to enjoy music and a convivial get-together. The prize for the year’s most beautiful lantern decoration is also awarded on this occasion.
