We recommend the following Christmas markets:
Bolzano Christmas market
from 23rd November 2017 to 6th January 2018
Bolzano Christmas market is the oldest Christmas market in South Tyrol. Since 1991 it has brought a wonderful Christmassy atmosphere to the capital of the Province. From 23rd November to 6th January the lovingly designed huts on the Piazza Walther invite visitors to shop: for hand-made Christmas decorations and hand-painted Christmas baubles, Advent wreaths, wood carvings and straw stars. Here, you find everything you need for your Christmas celebrations at home and are tempted to South Tyrolean delicacies.
Merano Christmas market
from 24 November 2016 to 6 January 2017
In Merano the Christmas stalls are put up along the romantic Passeggiata Lungopassirio. Let the aroma of Lebkuchen ginger cakes and mulled wine, traditional handicrafts, South Tyrolean delicacies and fantastic gift ideas enchant you.
Arcades Christmas in Egna
The historic centre of Egna also wears its annual Christmas clothing. Far from the hustle and bustle the village with its arcades offers an idyllic and traditional Advent. On Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm visitors can admire a living nativity scene. There are also many nativities on display in the various shop windows. Horse-drawn carriage rides through the village, music bands, a stall with hot drinks and stalls offering various foods complete the offer.
Christmas market Trento
from 19 November 2016 to 6 January 2017
There has been a Christmas market in Trento for over 20 years. On the exhibition ground and the Piazza Cesare Battisti 90 exhibitors offer handicrafts, Christmas tree decorations, gift ideas and delicacies. A highlight of the Christmas market is the culinary theme “I sapori del mercatino”, offering Trentino delicacies such as wine, sausages and cold meats, sweet treats, schnapps and more.
