3rd Chestnut weeks in San Genesio

Culinary weeks 10/8/ - 11/8/2017 Jenesien
Chestnuts delicacies

Long before potatoes and polenta were known in Europe, chestnuts were the staple food. Chestnuts are rich in minerals and vitamins, gluten-free and organic. San Genesio is the municipality in South Tyrol with the most chestnut trees - reason enough to dish up tasty delicacies. The programme also includes a Törggele festival, a “Keschtnmarkt” chestnut market and guided chestnut walks.
